From my experience, farmland in botany pots is the best way to produce inferium at start. Then the real thing with accelerators will be far way better. (With one 9x9 it produces 200k inferium / 12h) Moreover, all tier 5-6 seeds can't be used in botany pots. (I use ATM8)

Refined Storage acts a little weird with reusable tools like that. I think the reason (just a wild ass guess really) is that it actually transfers the items to the crafter with that recipe in it, so that it's not in the system for the next craft.
